The Kiwi is one of the most unique and enduring knives in the Spyderco product line. Originally released in 2002, the Kiwi has been produced in a number of different variations, all basically the same size. The Kiwi 4 takes the proven ergonomics and cutting performance of the original design and amplifies them by increasing the knife’s scale by about 20 percent. It also adds full-length G-10 scales, a full-flat grind, and, for the first time, a pocket clip.
The Kiwi 4 features a full-flat-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade. Its wharncliffe profile features a perfectly straight Edge for impressive cutting power and dexterity, and Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole™ provides convenient one-handed opening with either hand. Its handle has skeletonized stainless steel liners layered with textured black G-10 scales. Along with the knife’s signature double finger choil, this construction provides an extremely secure grip and outstanding control during use. It is also home to a sturdy back lock mechanism and a reversible, deep-pocket wire clip that provides left or right-side tip-up carry.
